Objectives:
The design department of LIEBHERR Components Colmar SAS wishes to benchmark
2 Tolerance Analysis Software in a PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 environment: CETOL 6
Sigma V8.4 (Sigmetrix) vs 3DCS V7.3 (Dimensional Control Systems).
The goal of this project is to determine whether one of this tool can
fulfill LIEBHERR Components Colmar SAS requirements in supporting designers for
tolerance calculation.
Subject:
Data entry:
-
1 or 2 simple case system
(3D CAD Models on Creo Parametric 2.0)
-
1 application case system
(3D CAD Models on Creo Parametric 2.0+2D drawings)
Procedure:
After a period of training in
order to get familiar with all software, you will perform the same tolerance analysis
in all given systems to compare the behavior of both programs.
You will focus especially on
how they manage tolerances of form, orientation, location and run-out as
specified in ISO 1101:2012 standard.
Deliverable:
Full report in English
demonstrating advantages/disadvantages of each software, in particular in the
following domains:
-
Management of GPS, Tolerance of form, orientation,
location and run-out,
-
Integration with Creo Parametric 2.0,
-
Results reliability.
-
Software usability,
-
Computation time.
